How will you exert influence?

Responsibilities Lead and organize the activities of Agents/Clerks to ensure a safe working environment and on-time dependability in order to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the station.
Ensure sufficient coverage for operations; Maintain a safe, dependable, and consistent operation by conducting agent observations, scheduling and administering local training, as well as new hire training. Investigates and resolves operational and customer service issues. Will be provided with company uniforms and must adhere to uniform policy. Participates in operational conference calls, conducts station audits, and prepares various reports. Keeps records such as time and attendance, personnel files, and performance. Station Agents are responsible for both customer service operations and ramp service.

Inform passengers through all aspects of their experience with American Airlines by communicating the appropriate information about their trips and belongings. Requirements for the Position: 18 years old or older; a valid driver’s license from the state is required; Candidates may not be eligible for this position due to license restrictions. Candidates must be able to carry, lift, and turn bags weighing up to 75 pounds.

Possess the legal right to work in the United States Position Preferences A minimum of one year of customer service experience Some locations may require previous airline experience, including working knowledge of an airline’s ticketing system and/or ramp operations. Additional Details Tattoos, body piercings, and/or tongue rings may not be visible while wearing the company-issued uniform at any time; In order to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), candidates must pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check.

Additionally, candidates must be able to obtain appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, in addition to meeting any other airport-related requirements. In locations that handle US mail, candidates must be able to pass a background check conducted by the US Postal Service. This position may be subject to the Department of Transportation (DOT).
