Full job description We are looking for an enthusiastic Program Specialist to coordinate all aspects, including the planning and creation of core and supplemental programs to prevent drunk driving and serving as a liaison between law enforcement and targeted populations in Michigan. Responsible for all program administration, which includes regular communication and reporting, achieving established performance goals, developing programs to achieve those goals, and adhering to all policies and guidelines of the program and/or grant.
Candidates who are interested in this remote, work-from-home position must be residents of Michigan. It will necessitate traveling throughout Michigan, occasionally to Ohio and West Virginia.
Essential Functions of the Position:
Develop and design events geared toward achieving specific goals, as well as provide marketing and outreach for the program to community agencies, to ensure that MADD management and/or the grantor’s goals and objectives are met.
Support local law enforcement through monthly newsletters and coalition meetings, and collaborate closely with them.
Contribute to the planning and execution of a yearly event to honor law enforcement officers who have been nominated for DWI recognition.

Participate in each county’s local coalition meetings and collaborate with stakeholders on prevention outreach.
Design and lead training programs at the state and local levels to manage the implementation and logistics of adult drunk driving and underage drinking prevention programs. Facilitate parent workshops and student presentations, organize and host orientation meetings, evaluation meetings, and facilitator training.
Find and find volunteers for programs that are relevant. Facilitate training sessions, telephone coaching, and on-site assistance to provide volunteers and staff with guidance, support, and motivation.
POSITION Prerequisites:
a bachelor’s degree in a related field like education, prevention, or human services.
Spanish-speaking is highly preferred.
A minimum of one to two years’ experience working on community health awareness, education, partnership, and youth programs is required. It helps to have previous experience working with programs.
Detailed-oriented with the capacity to set priorities, oversee multiple projects, and carry out tasks in an environment with a lot of activity.
Excellent communication abilities, including the capacity to formulate and convey ideas in a way that is comprehensible, logical, and clear, both verbally and in writing, while adhering to appropriate grammar and possessing proficiency in the English language.
ability to solve problems on one’s own or with others, keep one’s cool, and act professionally in a setting with shifting priorities or multiple ones.
It is necessary to be able to work according to a schedule, meet deadlines, adhere to instructions, and accept direction on assignments.

You must be able to enter data into online systems and have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. should also be able to keep records and do math.
